Start dropping hints to Braden

I'm ready to tackle my kitchen & living room. I've done a lot with the front room, now it's time for me to move on to other rooms in the house. I wanted the living room & kitchen to be 4 different colors, but Boring Beige Braden wants to tone it down to 2 colors. Boo. So I've decided to go with one main color, and it's this gorgeous yellow (which the color experts at Pantone have coincidentally dubbed the color of the year for 2010).

I saw this kitchen in Cottage Living Magazine and I fell head over heels in love with it. Now I also need Braden to Build me a white Dutch door, and refinish my cabinets white & add beadboard & moulding to the top. I'd also take some butcher block wood countertops pretty please.

The problem with having a handy husband is that he's always working on someone else's project, and mine get pushed to the back burner. But, my patience has now worn thin, and it needs to get done. We have a gorgeous new dining table that has been waiting in our garage since Christmas, so I need to go out and find some chairs that I can refinish and reupholster to match. I want 6 different chairs that will all be finished the same. I think we're either going to go with white furniture, or red-haven't decided yet. I promise to post some pics as we work.

Oh my goodness...I LOVE LOVE that yellow! So fun!

And I totally know what you mean about getting pushed to the back burner...

My dad does cabinets and I always ask him to make things for me --- six months later he FINALLY starts them.

And...I was wondering if I could get your address to send you a wedding invite?

My husband isn't a handy man - so be greatful that you do have one and that he'll eventually get things done, right?! :) That yellow is awesome!
I need inspiration ideas for my bedroom. Almost everyroom in my house is painted except my bedroom and I have NO idea what to do with it. I kind of want something bright but relaxing. And my front room and hallways are blue so no blues. Any ideas/suggestions?! I love your sense of style.
