Best Day Ever

This morning I took my kids to Schnepf Farms to pick peaches. We went with Eryn, Kathie, Barrett, and Isabel and it was the best time we've ever had. First we walked through the peach orchard and picked 8 pounds of peaches that will soon be Georgia Peach Pie and Peachy Keen Tarts (recipes later this week). My kids got filthy dirty and ate fresh peaches that were warm from the sun and dripping with juice. If you've never eaten a peach from the tree, you haven't lived. When we were done, we drove across the street to the Queen Creek Olive Mill and ate the most delicious paninis out on the lawn underneath the olive trees. You MUST go. They sell all kinds of olive oil, marinated stuffed olives, and have homemade gelato. It was amazing. It is the best place to take kids because they can run around outside while dripping with gelato, and it's gorgeous. We went home with a mint plant from the Olive Mill's nursery they have at the lawn, and passed out as soon as we got home with happiness. Peach season is over, but if you want to relive the awesome day with us, we're going back for apples in 2 weeks. I can already smell the apple pie with sharp cheddar crust. Mmmmmm.
