Princess La La's Birthday

Olivia's big day was yesterday, and man was she crabby. I guess its her party and she'll cry if she wants to. She was awakened with a hot pink feather boa and a silver sparkling faux microphone, which she didn't want to play with (but when I bought it on Saturday, she was playing with the samples at the store like they were the best thing since Soda Pop. hmph). She was in a better mood once she was served her chocolate chip mickey mouse pancakes with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, but was superbly crabby when she was dressed in her new blue pettiskirt I spent hours sewing. Momma Suzy took her to Build a Bear to get her first bear, and she picked a Cinderella Doggy. She did fall to pieces when I wouldn't let her go in the splash pad in her pettiskirt, but once we went to Paradise Bakery for lunch she chilled out. Those chocolate chip cookies will do that to you. She threw a fit once we left because she REALLY wanted to got play in that water. Once I threatened to forget about Chuck E Cheese she forgot why she was even mad.
"Momma, look at me."
"What La La?"
"Look at my smile. I'm happy. I'm not mad anymore."
"Wonderful." I said.
I guess she didn't realize that I didn't care if she was mad anymore, because I was mad enough for the both of us.

We did end up going to Chuck E Cheese where she was flitting around like a pixie she was so happy. I actually despise Chuck E Cheese but at least Landen slept through the whole thing so Braden & I only had to chase around the 2 girls. All in all I had a crappy day, but the Birthday Princess had a great time and enjoyed an entire day of being really naughty and not getting spanked for it.

***EDIT** I forgot, Auntie Ashly actually did spank her yesterday. She doesn't care about the birthday rule.
