Back to Normal

Now that my Real Estate classes are over (Well, almost over. I was supposed to make up the class I missed on Landen's birthday yesterday, but I went to the Gilbert campus instead of the Scottsdale campus on accident so I sat for an hour in the wrong class before I realized I had already taken that one. I'm an idiot.) I feel like my life is finally back to normal. I can clean my house and watch my kids, and make whatever I want for dinner. You never really appreciate the fact that you can cook whatever your heart desires until your husband is in charge of dinner for 2 weeks. I never want to eat another salad or frozen pizza again for as long as I live. Seriously though, I'm super excited for this weekend and next week to get back in my cooking groove. I've watched Food Network all morning, and have scoured countless blogs to come up with the menu for this weekend and next week. I have a bunch of awesome recipes to share (both old and new) so clean your kitchen tomorrow to prep for Sunday's meals.

Tomorrow Braden is golfing, so I'm taking the kids and meeting Kathie, Diego, & Isabel out at the Queen Creek Olive Mill for breakfast. I've been dying to return and pick up some thyme and dill plants at the nursery in the back of the field. Then, we are planning to return to the smoky casino at Fountain Hills for our favorite Crab Legs with Ashlyn & Allen (anyone else wanna come? I promise it's worth the drive and smoke. You can literally eat your weight in crab/butter). Sunday is the start of our gourmet week, and we'll make the Barefoot Contessa's breakfast of buttermilk cheddar biscuits, homemade strawberry jam, & scrambled eggs. These are no ordinary scrambled eggs, mind you. Check out the recipes and you'll see what I mean. I just watched the show this morning and I'll be dreaming of this breakfast until Sunday. Ooh, and Sunday me & Jessi are catching Away We Go featuring my newest infatuation. Just get Netflix already, and watch the Office, please.
