Color Scheme: Red
Why? Because it is so accessible this time of year, as well as festive. We're launching Red balloons with wishes tied to them Nie Nie Style, and I'm putting red geraniums on the table, which mom can plant in her front yard when the party is over.
Food: Appetizer Night! Chicken Bacon Wraps, Chicken Satay, Kathie's Spinach Artichoke Dip, Chips & Grandma's Salsa, Ashly's Guacamole, Chicken Parmesan Meatballs, & Kathie's Pomegranate Punch
Cake: Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting & Vanilla Cupcakes with Peppermint Frosting. I MIGHT be brave and do coconut cupcakes too, Ina's are soooo good.
Totally copying Sprinkles & Serving on Martha's cupcake tree (part of my Christmas present from Dustin, which I get to use early! Hooray! I hate surprises!)
All us kids chipped in and got her a sweet gift which she will LOVE, but I'm not going to share until the party's over so it doesn't ruin the surprise. (She doesn't hate surprises).
