Saddest thing I've ever heard

I don't know if all of you guys are blog stalkers like me, but I have been blog stalking this adorable girl Stephanie Neilsen for a few months now. She teaches yoga at Blissful Living Studio, she makes fabulous slhouette home decor, she has 4 kids 6 and under, she has a super sweet husband, and she is basically the cutest thing ever. Well, a couple of weeks ago she and her husband were in a plane crash here in AZ. They are in stable condition now, but are in a burn unit at a local hospital and probably will be for quite some time. Now, it may be a little weird that I am so upset by this whole thing, considering I never met Stephanie or her husband or their kids but it truly breaks my heart that these wonderful people had something so horrible happen to them. I can't imagine going through something like that, and I can't imagine not being able to take care of my children for so long. Her sister is keeping everyone updated on their condition on her blog and has made a button to link for people to donate. Its a great way to help out a deserving family. There are also many other people putting on auctions on their blogs for people to bid on cute prizes and all proceeds are going into their pay pal fund. I'm thinking about putting one of those on if everyone wants to participate and get a pretty quilt and some pillowcases or something else. Any ideas? Let me know if we should put one on. Also, I think we'll do a raffle of some kind at the Sweet Shoppe on September 6th to benefit the Neilsens. If you want to read more about Stephanie visit her blog at nieniedialogues.blogspot.com and cjanerun.blogspot.com.

Rosie, that is so sad! I work at a hospital here and there is the cutest 18 year old boy who also had a horrible accident happen to him! He has a blog too! You should check it out! They are amazing people, and somehow these people endure these horrible trials! I say thumbs up to the raffle and the thing to do on your blog! Your the sweetest! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

I've read it on a few different blogs. Bad news travels fast. I wish I had lots of money to be able to donate people in need. It's so sad hearing about these kinds of things. I think an auction/donation would be a great idea!
